MAIS Conference Friday, February 18th, 2011 at Mounds Park Academy

The TSC (Teacher Support Committe) of MAIS has been working diligently to plan the 2011 conference. The two keynote speakers are in place at this time: Scott E Page, author of The Difference, How the Power of Diversity Creates better Groups, Firms, Schools and Societies, will be speaking in the opening session. This book is about "how we think in groups, and how our collective wisdom exceeds the sum of the parts.' A professor at the University of Michigan, Scott Page has presented in a number of venues. We are looking forward to what he has to say to us. Pat Bassett has been the President of NAIS since 2001. Prior to that he was the President of ISACS for eight years. He has been a teacher, coach and headmaster and is a tremendous speaker. We know we can always count on Pat to stimulate our thinking about new topics and trends.

There will be over 60 sessions offered on this day so the committee will be looking for many of you to share your wisdom with others. You should have received a notice this spring about offering a workshop in February. Notice will be sent again in the fall to remind you to submit a proposal for a workshop.
